“The strength of this goal is for you Abi”
Bojan Krkic scored in Roma’s 5-2 victory over Northern side Novara. The young Spaniard dedicate his goal to former Barcelona team-mate Eric Abidal who is undergoing surgery for a liver transplant.
The French left-back who lifted the last season’s Champions League trophy in Wembley, is a highly respected figure in the Barcelona dressing room and all the players have wished him strength. Despite representing another club, Bojan produced a remarkable gesture as he celebrated.

AS Roma players show their support to Abidal before the match against Genoa.

BARÇA SQUAD 2011/12
→ NO. 6 | Xavier Hernández | central midfielder
- Interviewer: How do you feel when you watch Barca?
- Bojan: I have seen every game and I watch them with ants in my stomach. I have a huge love for Barcelona and its players that are like brothers to me. I watch them with great joy because I recognize everything that I have experienced with them and everything I have learned at the club. The Bojan that watches Barca is sensitive and proud. My eyes sparkle and my heart beats with a force as though I feel I am there. Those games are moments out of this world, and I don't discuss it with anyone. I'm alone with the image and the sensation of joy and passion. I haven't reached the point of crying, but I have gotten emotional and my heart has beaten faster than normal watching the Supercopa of Spain or of Europe, I know what those moments meant for the team.
“He didn’t score a goal, he scored a fantastic goal. There are many players who’ll feel offended when they don’t get to play, as if they were the center of the universe. When you ask me why I like Keita so much, it’s because every time I play him for two minutes, he gives me his BEST two minutes. He knows he’s competing with incredibly good players, but when he plays like that, what he does is, he MOVES me. I hope he’ll stay [at Barça] as many years as possible.”

my heart~
I was basically crying in my office at this point.

When Lionel Messi joined the first team at the age of 17, he was shy–so shy that his youth teammates that he had played with for three years had hardly heard him speak. He was the one who didn’t own a pair of jeans but always wore his training outfit. But when he joined the first team, Ronaldinho decided to take care of the young boy and invited him to his house in Gavá. They talked and played football with Ronnie’s three dogs. Then it didn’t take long before even little Leo had a pair of jeans. Deco even took him to the hairdresser, but in the end Leo didn’t dare to cut his long hair off. Lionel and Ronaldinho became best friends and when everyone was convinced that Leo was the best player in the world, he would still insist that honour remained with Ronaldinho.
