It’s the time when Barcelona is more truly itself: the tourists are still here, but somehow it seems as if the city has reverted back to its rightful owners. Which means that at Christmastime, the balance between artistry and common sense that so deeply characterizes the Catalan soul is on fine display.

FC Barcelona B New Coach Eusebio Sacristan
barzagirl:

Eusebio, who played over 200 times for Barça and was a pivotal part of Johan Cruyff’s dream team, was chosen ahead of many possible candidates for the much sought after job, beating the likes of Oscar Garcia and Raul Agne to the position. It will not be the first time Eusebio has taken a seat on Barca’s staff bench, what with the former Spain international serving as Frank Rijkaard’s assistant between 2003 and 2008. He has also spent a year as first-team coach at Celta Vigo during the 2009-2010 season.

BARÇA FANS on LA RAMBLA | Barcelona, Catalunya May 2010
Another super short clip I had of the celebrations on La Rambla after Barça won La Liga in 2010. This one my friend took for me —see how it’s a lot more steady? haha— I was somewhere in the mix of people getting down low. For this one, everyone is supposed get low/get quiet before pouncing back up and cheering their balls/ovaries off (hopefully you can see what I mean)
